Having graduated from 25 years in the finance and corporate world, Sutat serves as non-executive director and advisor to companies , start ups, investment committees , foundations and non profits. He continues to discover and express a purpose of synthesising people, planet & profit, towards a sustainable world that coexists in solidarity.
He is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Directors and the Institute of Banking & Finance Singapore (IBF) & is immediate past Chairman of the Community Chest. He was awarded Global Investor Asia Capital Markets Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021 & the Public Service Medal in 2023.
Sutat is an Oxford graduate with First Class Honours in Philosophy, Politics & Economics (PPE) and a Master of Arts.
A Gateway to Giving, enabling purposeful individuals to express and channel their philanthropic interests, ImpactSG’s ground-up movement driven by passion to connect pledges and partners are the seeds of forward SG in action. I am excited to be a part of its launch - timed as the preamble to the start of SG60 celebrations - as it will create and facilitate the opportunity for us to renew our commitment to the nation. The power of community impact can only compound if we nurture whom we have here and enable those new to us to discover where they can best contribute. The movement is already gathering momentum, and I hope to see the roots established today, sprout into sustainable outcomes in time!
